Do I need prior rugby experience before joining?

Scylla welcomes all new players, regardless of prior rugby experience. If you're brand new to rugby, we will teach you. We know learning a new sport can be overwhelming. Don't worry - we're here to help you along the way! 

What do I need to bring to practice?

For all outdoor practices you'll need a pair of cleats, a mouth guard & a water bottle. The majority of players use soccer cleats. If you have interest in getting cleats with a toe stud, talk to us beforehand, as there are specific rules surrounding studs. If you're a lineout jumper, please also make sure to bring a pair of rugby shorts.

Practice & game locations vary. See the calendar section on the SportsYou app for details. We will add you to SportsYou following your first practice.

How much does it cost to join Scylla?

Scylla charges membership dues once per season (fall & spring). Dues are set by the club treasurer and vary by season and membership type. At the start of each season, dues are announced at the season kickoff meeting.
